(1) There will be a Health Insurance Board to handle the work related to health insurance.
(2) The composition of the board shall be as follows (a) Person appointed by the Government of Nepal – Chairman
(b) Joint Secretary level officer of the Ministry designated by the Ministry, - Member
(c) Joint Secretary, Government of Nepal, Ministry of Finance - Member (d) Three members, including at least two women, nominated by the Ministry from among persons having at least five years of experience in the relevant field. (e) Two members including one woman nominated by the Ministry from among the insured (f) Executive Director – Member Secretary
(3) The term of office of the chairman and members as per clauses (a), (d) and (e) of sub-section (2) shall be four years and they may be re-appointed or nominated once.
